Committed to safeguarding the wonders of the Grand Canyon and the Colorado Plateau, while supporting the rights of its Native peoples, Grand Canyon Trust is looking for a Grand Canyon Director.

The Grand Canyon director, with the Grand Canyon manager, conservation director, and other staff, envisions, prioritizes, and implements strategies for the Grand Canyon Trust’s work in the canyon region. The position requires leadership, strategic and analytical thinking, strong relationship building skills, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.

This position interfaces heavily with Tribal partners and advocates for the rights of Tribes in the canyon region. The staff of the Grand Canyon program works with other staff at the Trust and other organizations to effectively advocate for management of public lands and resources based on ecological conservation, public process, and respect for Indigenous traditional knowledge in and around the Grand Canyon cultural landscape.
