Grandson of Bethune Cookman University Founder Mary McLeod Bethune - Working to Hire More HBCU Students for Careers in Tech! (37954 hits)

On October 1st, 2020, HBCU CONNECT and ServiceNow are partnering to host a special recruitment event to help HBCU Students land internships for the summer of 2021.

One of the team members helping to pull off this special event, representing ServiceNow, is Justin Bethune, Great Grandson of Mary McLeod Bethune, the founder of Bethune Cookman University.

"We are extremely excited about our event with ServiceNow! It happens to be our first time working together to bring opportunities from the company to our HBCU Students, and it's super cool that one our panelists at the event has roots in HBCU history!" said Will Moss, CEO of HBCU CONNECT.

HBCU CONNECT has been on a whirlwind tour of diversity recruitment events since the COVID-19 pandemic hit in February/March of 2020, as companies pivoted to hosting recruitment events online as opposed to in person.

"Most of our events in the past have been in person at different locations all over the country for companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon and the like. It's exciting for us to be working with ServiceNow and introducing their recruitment brand to our audience as well as all of the opportunities they have available. With the supporting cast of Black Professionals that ServiceNow put together, the event should be very valuable to Black students looking for a foot in the door at a cool tech company. One of the other gentleman presenting at the virtual event will be Jack Johnson, an HBCU alumnus from Miles College and member of HBCUConnect.com. So for us this is a star studded HBCU affair!"

You can meet Justin and and the team at ServiceNow at our virtual event for HBCU students looking to land internships tomorrow, October 1st, 2020 at 6pm EST.
